This film is beautifully weird. This has got to be the weirdest film I watched that was actually good and moving. The Daniels pulled at your heart from all directions, making you laugh, cringe, and feel emotionally attached with these characters. I feel like the movie felt really long, but it was so worth it because these characters develop so much throughout every scene. Hank basically allows Manny to feel human emotions and feel what it feels to be human, something not even Hank felt himself. Manny made Hank a better person and vice versa. The story was incredible. The story is actually beautiful, I thought more about it and realized wow this story encompasses life. This story talks of trying to find the meaning of life for Manny to live and remember, and that reason was love. then when love did not love him back, he wanted to be dead again, and that was beautiful and powerful. He only became alive again when someone loved him unconditionally and that was his friend, Hank. The cinematography was great, at first it started off okay, but then it really turned beautiful when we arrived to the forest. The lighting always felt natural, and never made you think "oh theres a light right there". There was never really a time where I was turned off by a certain thing visually. That being said the cinematography was not jaw dropping. They did what was necessary for the story which ultimately is the best thing to do. All in all I think this film was great and I recommend watching this if you are alone or if you are with your significant other. Like this film is really really weird so prepare for some awkward moments if you watch this with a group.
